Important Announcement from the American Berkshire Association:
On April 10, 2019, The National Pork Producer’s Council (NPPC), the organizer of the World Pork Expo, announced the cancellation of the event for 2019 as a preventive measure against a negligible risk of African Swine Fever (ASF). In anticipation of this decision, new event logistics and details were tentatively established.
The National Swine Registry, Certified Pedigree Swine and American Berkshire Association staff members are working diligently to confirm event logistics and details for the live hog show that will continue to be held on June 2-8, 2019. As soon as details are confirmed, membership will be informed through official communication channels.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding as the organizations work collaboratively to develop solutions. Despite the cancellation of the World Pork Expo, the National Swine Registry, Certified Pedigreed Swine, and the American Berkshire Association are still planning a live swine show during the week of June 2-8, 2019.
